Sendero Provisions Co. channels the spirit of the American West into every thread and stitch of its gear. The company sprang up in 2014 thanks to two college buddies (geology majors, no less) who spent their free time roaming the deserts of West Texas, Arizona, and Utah. Frustrated by boring hats and uninspiring designs, they decided to make their own – their very first cap was inspired by the wild vistas of Big Bend and that feeling of a perfect-fitting hat after a long day on the trail. Sendero has been chasing that vibe ever since. Today they create hats, tees, bandanas, and more, all emblazoned with funky artwork and inside jokes that celebrate landscapes, wildlife, and tall tales of the West. This is a brand with a playful soul: they “like telling cool stories and finding people who share the mindset of being outside and being adventurous with a little bit of irreverence”, as founder Hunter Harlow puts it. Despite growing a following from Texas to New York, they’ve stayed true to their Texan roots – which for them is more a state of mind than just a place. They value things like public lands, free-flowing rivers, live music, and a hard day’s work, and that love shows through in their products. You’ll often find a nod to conservation or local culture hidden in their designs, whether it’s a graphic of a favorite state park or a witty slogan only a trail bum would get. In short, Sendero Provisions is all about gearing up for adventure, having a good laugh, and respecting the wild places we explore.
