FREE SHIPPING over $49+ Excludes Oversized Items Appalachian Outdoors currently only ships to the United States. Orders are typically shipped same or next day. Our major carrier is the United States Postal Service (USPS). We can also ship through other carriers including United Parcel Service (UPS) and FedEx. Shipping oversized and heavy items such as skis and roof racks will require an extra shipping charge added to the standard shipping. We cannot ship to hotels/motels due to potential delays in shipping that are out of our control.

Appalachian Outdoors is committed to providing you with the right gear and clothing for your adventures and lifestyle. We want you to be more than just satisfied with your purchase; therefore, any returns, exchanges, refunds and warranty issues will be handled efficiently. If you buy something from us and find that it does not fully suit your needs, we are happy to return or exchange your purchase for another item, size, or color. All returned items must be in their original condition with tags and packaging. Sale items must be returned within two weeks and all full-priced items must be returned within thirty days. Carefully package your return item(s) so that they will not be damaged in transit. Include all of the original packaging and your completed return form from the back of your invoice.

* Please ensure the item(s) are clean and include all original packaging, are stain and odor-free, without rips, tears, breaks, and are intact, unused, and undamaged.

* We regret that we cannot refund shipping charges on returned merchandise.

* Climbing/load-bearing equipment, with the exception of chalk bags and climbing shoes, are not returnable due to liability reasons (read why below).

Climbing Equipment Policy

At Appalachian Outdoors, we are committed to providing you with the highest-quality climbing equipment. Therefore, we do not sell any used, second-hand climbing or load-bearing equipment including, but not limited to ropes, lead protection, carabiners, harnesses, crash-pads, helmets, belay devices, ice axes, or crampons. We are not able to send these items back to the manufacturer unless there is a warranty issue. Consequently, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on climbing equipment regardless of its condition or purchase date. This policy is in place for your safety so that you will only receive new equipment, unexposed to the stresses of use or the environment.
